Life History Of Late Sr. Emma Ayaa Ginyakol FROM 05/09/1960 – 17/02/2023 She Belongs To GROUP 10 Of MSMMC

Background

Sr. Emma Ayaa was born on 5th September 1960 to Late Mr. Okot Sancto Ginyakol & Late Ms. Atoo Catherine at Lukome Village, Lukome Parish in Gulu Archdiocese.

She  is the 4th born in the family of 9 children i.e. 5 (five) boys and 4 (four) girls. All her siblings passed away before her death. May all their souls rest in peace!

Education

Sr. Emma Ayaa attended her Primary School at Lukome from 1972-1979

In 1986, she joined Aboke Girls’ SS and completed her O Level in 1989 at the same school.

She attended A-Level Education from 1991 to 1993 at Sacred Heart SS, Gulu and St Mary’s College, Rushoroza in Kabale.

In 1998, she enrolled at St Mary’s Hospital, Lacor School of Nursing and graduated with a Certificate in Nursing in the Year 2000.

In  2011, Sr Emma underwent a two year program in Nursing at Rubaga Hospital Training Schools, which led her to graduate with a Diploma.

Disciplinary Minister, from Rubaga Hospital  which she obtained in 2012

  • A Certificate in Hospital Pastoral Ministry, from Rubaga Hospital Training Schools which she also obtained in 2012

She was a woman of integrity, with commitment, diligence and discipline. She was a loving mother, caring, hardworking, an artist, musician, orderly, good at catering and bakery

Sr. Emma breathed her last on Friday 17th February 2023

Religious formation

Emma Ayaa was admitted to Aspirancy in the Institute of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church in 1980.

In 1981, she joined Novitiate; And received her first Vows on 1st January 1983 ; then her Final Vows on 1st January1989.
