Congratulatory messages

By Sr. Lucy Twine, MSMMC

We are grateful to you our dear sisters for the congratulatory messages.  We are joyful upon the achievement housing Jesus in our community of St. Peter Clever, Ongata Rongai, Nairobi-Kenya. It is one of greatest blessings we have received this year, 2025!

Before the installation of the Blessed sacrament, we often prayed for this intention and we were almost losing hope a certain time. Suddenly, we felt encouraged to pray more and maximized our efforts as we read some scriptures encouraging us not to lose hope. For instance, “God’s grace is sufficient and the best comes at it’s appropriate time”. The energy for prayer increased more as we asked for God’s favours.

We often felt some vacuum in the community as we were missing holy hour and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, but we would go to the adoration chapels at nearby parishes and joined the Christians for adoration and benediction.

Now God has answered our prayers after years when we least expected the positive response! I can say that perhaps God saw that we were not prepared enough to host Him that time. However, we are very excited and our prayer life is flowing well in the busy city of Nairobi. Every Thursday we do our Exposition and Holy Hour; we now feel connected with other members of our Institute as far as Thursday prayers are concerned.

It is also an opportunity for other Christians in our small Christian community who come for adoration in our chapel. We are sure they are praying for us and our Institute. I also believe that our Beloved Founder Bishop Caesar Asili, RIP, has a hand in this achievement. We never missed to ask him to intercede for us, as he made this our tradition to make Christ the centre of our lives as far as religious life is concerned. We felt we lacked something to make us complete but now we feel that union with our spouse and we are now strong.

We appreciate the moral and spiritual support of all our sisters. Thanks to the General Council in the persons of the Vicaress, Sr. Noelina Nakakeeto, and the Councilor for Health, Sr. Winny Mueni. May God bless them abundantly for their encouragement and support in making strides in this milestone achievement.

Our gratitude to Rt Rev. John Oballa Owaa, Bishop of Ngong Diocese, who listened to us as a Father and acted promptly regardless of his fore demands. Our thanks also go to our Parish Priest Fr. Hamisi for accepting the call of Bishop to install for us the Blessed Sacrament. Without forgetting our parish moderator and chair persons for our Small Christian Community –SCC of St. Paul for their quick action to organize the event.

God’s time is always the best, Pilgrims of Hope, together in Prayer, God bless us all,

CHRIST MUST REIGN
