Today is the 34th Death Anniversary of Rt Rev Caesar Asili, the first Bishop of Lira Diocese,  Founder of MSMMC and Missionaries of Jesus the Divine Master (MIDM).

Caesar Asili was born in Moyo District, in Northern Uganda, on 11th September 1924. His parents were Sebastiano Asili and Catherina. His father was a Headman in charge of the catechumens and this contributed to Asili’s very good Christian and religious background, He died on 12th October 1988.

Sweet Memories: Prayerful; Special devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and Mother Mary; Motherly not Fatherly; Beautiful not Handsome; Musician; Artist; overflowing love to everybody regardless of religion, colour, culture; simplicity; honesty; intelligent, orderly and smart.

Lira Diocese, West Nile  and the entire Church will always miss his contribution to God's flock!

Founder’s poem

                     WE TWO

I cannot do it alone,

The waves run fast and high,

And the fogs close chill around,

And the light goes out in the sky,

But I know that we two shall win in the end.

Jesus & I.

I could not steer it alone,

My barque on the roaring sea,

What of that! Another sits in my barque,

And pulls and steers with me,

And know that we two shall come into the port.

His child & He.

Coward, wayward and weak,

I change with the changing sky,

One day eager and brave, the next not caring to try,

But He never gives in,

And we two shall win.

Jesus & I.

Strong and tender and true,

Crucified once for me,

I know that Jesus will never change,

Whatever I do or be,

We shall finish our course

And get home at last,

His child & He

All I am & Do to glorify God. 1938
